Michael Moritz

Michael Moritz, M.D.

Transplant

Michael J. Moritz, M.D., is chief of transplant services at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network. During his 19-year career, he has performed more than 1,000 kidney, pancreas and liver transplants, including more than 300 living-donor kidney surgeries. Moritz also has completed extensive research on the outcomes of pregnancies in post-transplant patients.

He is an expert in the newest systems that reduce medication errors including electronic bar-coding, computerized medication order entry, pharmacy robots and automated medication dispensing cabinets.

Paul Mosca

Paul Mosca, M.D.

Surgical Oncology and Melanoma

Paul Mosca, M.D., is a surgical oncologist for Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network and is one of the only physicians performing the rare Isolated Limb Infusion for localized, recurrent melanoma. This advanced treatment involves using a tourniquet to isolate the limb so high doses of heated chemotherapy drugs (normally toxic) circulate only through the extremity, preventing any adverse affects associated with chemotherapy drug toxicity. Mosca also directs the melanoma therapeutics program at Penn State Cancer Institute.

Pediatric Pulmonology and Asthma

Robert Miller, M.D., is a pediatric pulmonologist at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, and an expert in diagnosing common and uncommon breathing disorders in children. His specialties include vocal cord dysfunction (VCD), an often unrecognized and debilitating condition affecting adolescent athletes and other children, and asthma. In addition to treating VCD and asthma, Miller sees children of all ages with cystic fibrosis and many other pulmonary conditions.

Luther Rhodes, M.D., is chief of infectious disease for Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network and an expert on the avian flu and coordinating response to public health threats. He also was the physician that diagnosed the first SARS case in the United States.
